Reality check for Indian Cricket Team after a series loss against New Zealand
When there is a high tide in the sea then there is definitely a low tide also. But our duty is to delay that low tide for the maximum time we can. But if
we keep sitting thinking we have achieved everything and boasting about it all
the time that means success has overpowered you. We tend to forget “With great power comes great responsibility". Exactly
this is happened with team India players. I think in the spark of the luxury,
they have forget that they are playing for their country's pride.
They are not playing the franchise cricket. But i feel, opposite is
happening. In franchise cricket, they play with more responsibility and power. There they
show there real self. But why is it so ? Is it because of huge amount of money
they are getting ? Seeing their performance against New Zealand in this tour where
we are clean sweeped in ODIs and Tests, I am sure this is the obvious reason. The
overconfidence Virat showed by saying this year because of T20 world cup our main
focus is on T20 and not the one day internationals and Tests. You can not hide
your defeat by saying all this crap. This is the same person who said Test
cricket is the best and most important format of the game.
By saying all this, he basically made cricket look bad. This is not the sportsman spirit. Also by saying this, he is making New Zealand victory look smaller for which NZ fought hard. They showed the temperament after T20 series loss and fought hard. So now Indian team should wake up and should come in reality and play every game irrespective of the format with passion to win it. In the end who wins, it doesn't matter but fight should be there for they trophy.
